"Mrs. Obama" The political media'snew target!

Michelle Obama, wife of Senator Barack Obma, has now became a major topic in the political news Media. The question today today is, has the political media gone too far with targeting Mrs. Obama? If you've watched the news lately you will see that she is getting just as much news coverage as the Presidential canidates. A lot of public attention has been drawn to Michelle Obama because she's been 1 of the 2 most vocal spouses(the other being former President William J. Clinton) of the 2008 Presidential hopefuls. She caused a lot of attention when she made the statement "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change," she said. "I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment"(CNN 2008). Many political media critics ate Michelle Obama for breakfast, lunch and dinner after her remarks. The Obama campaing did respond to the negative tention resulting from Mrs. Obama statement. Jen Psaki the Obama Campaign spokeswoman responded by saying "What she meant is that she’s really proud at this moment because for the first time in a long time, thousands of Americans who’ve never participated in politics before are coming out in record numbers to build a grassroots movement for change." Many crictic are still eating lunch on this one and you really can't blame them, she really did open the door for that one and the political media news critics took hold of the opportunity. When it come to the question of where the political news media has gone to far with focusing negative attention to Mrs. Barack Obama, you must take in to account situations such as FOX News refering to Mrs. Obama as Barack Obama's "BABY MAMA". Acts such as that are viewed as foul, and disrespectful, Mrs. Obama, is infact more than a a baby momma, she's his wife. Its clear that the title was meant for a joke playing along the facts of the ethnicity and racial background of the Obamas. When it comes the things such as refering to a candidate's wife as a "baby mama" you began to wonder if the media has gone too far? What's your opinion
